Ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper, I’ve made up fantastical worlds in my head then jumped inside them, rolled about in them, met weird and wonderful beings in them, and gone on massive quests and adventures with those friends… and at the end of the day, I would head back inside to share my stories. I never did “get my feet on the ground”, sorry Mum!
Since then, I’ve dabbled in many forms of storytelling — from acting in Shakespearean plays to writing and directing fantasy films — and now I’m writing novels about a crew of firefighting bear shifters and the troublesome new barista in town who keeps turning their alpha’s world upside down.
But throughout my creative lives I have had one constant. To me — these worlds, these characters, these adventures — ARE REAL. I believe in magic and this year, as I start publishing The Phoenix Crew Series, I invite you to dive into their wild and beautiful world with me. I promise in these pages you will find romance, steam, adventure, mystery and, yes, bucket loads of magic. (I even have the #believeinmagic mantra band and everything)
